Defense against a push or poke while in a seated position
Professor Christopher N. Geary with
Clark Willms
Location: Omaha, Nebraska - 138th and Maple.
As opponent attacks with a push or poke simultaneously grab opponent's right finger(s) with your right hand and trap his wrist with your left hand, bringing opponent in close to you. Bend finger(s) back towards opponent while keeping his wrist and hand close to your body. Quickly rotate your right hand on opponent's right finger(s) with your palm down.

Grab opponent's head with your left hand while retaining the hold on opponent's right fingers and simultaneously applying pressure to the pressure point just behind the ear, pinning the head to your chest. Press in towards yourself and up on the ear pressure point for effective application.
