Small patch:
KGS BBS stands for Karazenpo Go Shinjutsu Black Belt Society.
Large patch: The original patch layout for first Karazenpo Go Shinjutsu school on the mainland
United States. The patch was designed by Sijo Victor "Sonny" Gascon in the 1950's. The figure in the
center is a likeness of Bodhidharma. The characters
on left side spells out "Gascon" the right side spells out "Victor", which is the name of the
founder of this style of kempo. The meaning of Karazenpo Go Shinjutsu can be broken down as follows:
"Kara" means empty/Chinese hand, "Zen" means of the mind, breathing, belief in truth and life, "Po" means
kenpo/kempo, "Go" represents number five for the original five animal martial arts (dragon, tiger, leopard,
crane, and snake) "Shinjutsu" means the method of self defense without bearing arms.
